Price matching do they do percent off lets say buy a products get one 50 percent off? thank you for any help. Btw love your blog
Dian says
patti » Hi, thanks for the kind words!
They don’t do percentage off at all. They only do an end price. If the ad says what the final price will be, that’s what they will match – nothing else. If it says $2 off or 40% off they won’t do it unless the ad goes on to say a final price.
I hope that helps!

Thank you for clearing the competitior’s coupons for me. I tried to use use the Randall’s ad coupons but they told me that they would not accept them as they have to be a manufacture coupon. Needless to say I go to a differenct Wal-Mart across town.
Dian says
Melissa » Right – they won’t take a Randall’s coupon – they will match the price in the Randall’s ad – the final price. Don’t tell them you want to use a Randall’s coupon – tell them you want to match the ad. That’s why they said it had to be a manufacturer coupon.
I hope that helps!
Thanks!

They no longer Mach ads where it says buy one get one free, unless the add says how much the iteam each is. And now in my local store they have changed it to where u have to have an Ad with u at checkout. Has the policy changed in all stores?
Dian says
Afsheen » No, the policy has always been to match the final price in the ad. The policy to have the ad with you hasn’t changed, though I have heard some stores trying to require that, lately.

how about sale events from another store, for example albertson’s has this sale day that you buy 10 specific sale items and you get $5 off at check out. Does walmart price match that as well? and in albertson’s you can mix and match, letting you buy any amount of a certain item and still getting the $5 back.will walmart honor that? thank you for your response.
Dian says
Caroline » Yes they will, as long as there is a final price for each product in the sale paper that they can see. Keep in mind, that at Walmart it’s all about matching the price in the ad no percentage off, no cents off, it has to have a final price printed in the sales ad.
I hope that helps!

Does WalMart honor store coupons and also allow you to combine a mftr’s coupon with it like the grocery stores do? For example a $.50 mftr coupon, along with a $.50 Publix coupon on a box of cereal.
Thank you!
Dian says
Teri,
Hi!
Walmart says they take competitor’s coupons, but that is misleading – they only take them if they have an end price. Like Coca Cola 12 packs 2/$3. They DO NOT take anything that is for a % off or money OFF. Just an ending price coupon. So far, al I know that actually has those are Walgreens, sometimes.
I hope that helps!

Hi I’m new to this whole thing of collecting coupons. What does matching the price to the ad/coupon mean? Does that mean that if you get something at about $3.00 and the ad has the same object but for $2.00 that they will lower the price at $2.00 or lower? Also I just turned 18 and don’t know almost anything about couponing is there any advice for me to start? I don’t have access to a computer only a android phone I would also like to know what website can I go on to receive coupons in the mail or on my phone for free or a small price? Any advice would really be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Dian says
Vanessa » Most stores have a sale paper each week with their sale prices for that week in them. If you get a sale paper in the mail or in the newspaper or from the store directly and you see that store, that week has a price lower than Walmart’s price you can show Walmart the ad and they will sell it to you for that price.
Say you have the Walgreens ad and they have Milk on sale for $1.00 and Walmart has the same Milk at $2.00, you can show them the Walgreens ad and they will sell it to you for $1.
Coupons are found in many places, magazines, the mail, you can buy them on eBay, and they come each Sunday in the newspaper.
Since you have an Android phone you may want to download my App – that will alert you when there is a new coupon you can print and a deal you can use it on and how. Also you will see the deals for stores in your area that week and be shown how to use coupons and sales together to get the best price.
Here is where you can get my App:

I also suggest you watch the videos I have created explaining how to Coupon Shop, here:

And/Or read the ebook I wrote also explaining:

I recently priced match the Purex at our store because CVS gad it buy one get two free. They ended up dividing the price and splitting the amount for the three. I didn’t think this was right. What is your idea on this. Thanks
Dian says
Christy,
That is how my Walmart does it, too.
I hope that helps!
