@Tracy: Yes, you are giving them the bottom of the receipt that shows you how many Extra Care Bucks you have.
Good for you learning to shop for FREE!!
Happy Shopping and let me know if you have any questions!
      Thanks!

    Hello Dian!
Can you only get 1 ECB per transaction so you have to do mulitple transactions? Or can you buy everything at once and get mulitple ECB’s if there not for the same items?

Secondly, you mentioned B1G1 free at CVS and other stores, how does the B1G1 free sale and B1G1 free coupons work together?

@Suzanne Cook-Turner: You can get as many ECB’s as you can and are allowed – the sales ad will say Limit 1 or however many – all in the same transaction. Limits are on Loyalty Cards – so you cannot do another transaction and get another one.

BOGO at CVS: You can use a BOGO Coupon on a sale that is BOGO and get both FREE! The Store is paying for one in their BOGO SALE – the manufacturer is paying for the other with his BOGO Coupon!
Feel free to ask anything anytime!
      Thanks!

    Dian:

Have been saving literally HUNDREDS shopping at CVS and some Walgreens and, of course the grocery store! Thanks for making it so much easier! I have been trying to get an answer to the question on how to feed my pets for cheap or free. I’ve heard it can be done but can’t figure out how. We’re on a farm and I have 6 cats and 3 dogs (one being a Saint Bernard/Newfoundland). Short of buying to TSC (Tractor Supply Co.) private brand-which I have started for the cats; I can’t seem to stretch the coupons for dog food. Any ideas from you would be appreciated.

Elizabeth, Thanks for the kind words!
The best thing I can tell you is watch for a great deal, make sure to save the coupons and when a good deal hits you’ll be prepared to stock up on the food.
Then you will have enough until the next big sale comes along.
It won’t be long before a good pet food deal comes along.
Keep watching and I’ll make sure to post any great pet food deals I find!
Haver you seen the cat food deal at WalMart right now? You can get FREE GoodLife Cat Food at WalMart right now and some overage that can be applied to Dog Food, Too! https://groceryshopforfree.com/walmart-deals/
      Happy Shopping,
      Hope that helps!
      Thanks!

Is there a website that I can go to that list items in ABC order and it will show where it is on sale that week and how the Q deals play in the transaction? I’m finding myself wasting a lot of time comparing sales from 3 drug stores and 3 grocery stores and then the week is almost over and I am still trying to work up a deal and gather Q — I get so tired and discouraged! I just discovered your website and love it so far and have learned so much from the Q/A ….thanks for all you do….ROLL TIDE IN TUSCALOOSA, AL

Regina » Welcome! and the answer to your site is yes! right here!
You can check out the Penny pinching Bargain Bunch – it is a list of stores and deal lists for each week in various places throughout the country – Target, WalMart, CVS, Rite Aid, and Walgreens included as well as dozens of grocery stores!
Just choose the store you want and check out the list of the sale items and the coupons to use for that sale and the extras you can get like Money makers or register rewards or Extra Care Bucks!
      Check it out here: https://groceryshopforfree.com/penny-pinching-bargain-bunch/
Also, you can use my Coupon Database: https://groceryshopforfree.com/coupon-database/
to search for any coupons (newspaper inserts, printable or magazine) and add them for anything you might find you need that isn’t on sale – heaven forbid 😉 !!
If I can help in any other way, please let me know!
      thanks!

Hey Dian. I am new to couponing and I was just wondeing if you use ECB on a transaction do you get to keep ECB leftovers or do they go to waste? For instance, say I still owe $2.50 after coupons, and I have a receipt for $3 ECB. Does the extra .50c rollover to that receipt for the current transaction or is that .50c gone? Thanks so much for your help! Yo website is amazing and so informative.

Katie » Thanks for the kind words!! Glad to know I can help!
ECB’s and Walgreens RR’s don’t carry over to another transaction. No “change back” so to speak. If you have a $3 ECB and $2.50 to pay – find something else to cover the rest or that $.50 is wasted!
      Hope that helps!

Do you have a current list of what you consider stock up prices, for different items. In particular where can I get the best deals on stuff like meat and fresh vegetables, is the grocery store the best place or perhaps a farmers market? Do they have coupons for stuff like plant seeds to grow your own vegatables/seasoning at home?

laura » I don’t have a list of stock-up prices. They will be different according the area of the country you are in and your area stores. You can make a price book and that would help you figure that out for your area.
The better deals on meat and veggies also depend on your area of the country. I have many local Hispanic stores that have great prices on meat and produce and I can Ad Match those at Walmart.
I don’t have coupons for seeds and and plants.
      I hope that helps!
Let me know if you have any more questions!

If a deal at CVS requires me to spend so much money prior to getting the ECBs, is that based on shelf price, or do i have to spend that much after sale price and coupons?

          Laura,
The ECB’s are attached to products, they don’t really have anything to do with how much you spend.
So, if Dial Soap has an ECB – no matter how much you pay for it, you get the ECB.
I hope that makes sense! lol
Let me know if you have any more questions!
          Thanks!

Hi Dian, this site is a huge help! Thank you! Can you rollover the ECB’s at CVS on the same product? Also, do you need to have a fill in?

In other words, at Walgreens, your q attaches the product, then I end up with getting a filler to use the rr?

      Jackie,
ECB’s are more like cash than Walgreens Register Rewards are, so yes you can roll them on the same item.

I also have a question! I’m fairly new to couponing and loving the cvs deals lol. Say they have at CVS buy 1 get 1 50% off on axe and you have buy one get one free coupons. Will you have to pay full price for one or can you buy the one thats 50%

      Jessica,
You’ll end up paying for the full priced one. It’ just the way the register is programmed. Now, if the sale were Buy One Get One FREE and your coupon was Buy One Get One FREE, they would both be FREE.
      I hope that helps!
