A few weeks ago, Dian and I got invited out to the 2nd annual Burleson Wine Crawl and had a blast! I actually spent a lot of time in Burleson growing up (one set of grand-parents lived there) so it was so great to see how much the town and grown and changed over the years.
The Wine Crawl itself was much bigger than I anticipated with about 40 different booths that had wine we could sample along with crafts and other goodies we could look at and buy. One of the coolest things I saw was a case that “dressed up” those big Gallon boxes of wine. That way you could have a box of Franzia on the table but it didn’t actually look like you were drinking wine out of box. (I hear that’s a bit of a “faux pas” but what do I know?)
We also got a gift bag with a bunch of goodies including a very nice bottle of local wine from Lone Oak Winery and some very tasty flavored popcorn from Moretti’s I am actually eating as I type this.
I’m so glad they invited us out and hope to head out there again next year!
