Story Time!  A few years ago Dian and I were faced with the harsh reality that we really needed to lose some weight.  We did some research and found out that the three things that people who lost weight and kept it off had in common were; they owned a scale, they owned a piece of exercise equipment, and they always ate breakfast.  Well we owned a Gazelle we never used so we had that going for us, we just needed a scale and some breakfast food.  The really sad part is that we couldn’t just pick one up at the store because they only went up to 300lbs and I was quite a bit more than that.  So after getting the super deluxe model that could handle my weight, Dian and I embarked upon a lengthy journey to lose weight.  She did a MUCH better job than I did and is down to a size 2 and looks fantastic while I have lost 102lbs so far and want to lose another 50 in the next 6 months.  The really horrible part is if I lose the 50, I’ll still be overweight but one thing at a time I guess.

Anyway all of that to say, if you want to lose weight, buy a scale.
