Can you tell me if another store has their brand of bread, buns, etc. on sale in the ad, does Walmart price match those?

They won’t PM if it’s a house brand, only if it is a brand both stores carry. So no if it’s Kroger Brand Bread, but yes if it’s Sara Lee or Mrs Baird’s.

The reason I asked about it is because I follow one blog where she posts shopping trips and in her list there is always store brand of bread and buns she gets price matched at Walmart. It may be one of those situations where the stores do what they want. I know their policy states they price match items in another store’s ad, but someone else told me it doesn’t have to be in the ad to be price matched. So, a lot of it just confuses me more! Thank you for your help.

Unfortunately, some people treat Walmart’s PM policy as a “Pay whatever you want” policy. It has to be in the ad and it can’t be store brands. Those are both things clearly stated in their policy. You can read through their policy on my site if you’d like, the link is on my menu bar. If we all do this right it will never go away, if we abuse it…who knows what will happen.

I agree with you. I always want to do my homework and use my coupons correctly. I know I probably aggravate people asking so many questions, but I absolutely do not want to do something dishonest, even if by accident.I think that eventually, coupons will be a thing of the past because of all the dishonest people and the extreme coupon people!
