Happy Fourth Of July!

Last night our hometown of Arlington, TX had their annual Light Up Arlington 4th of July celebration, and I was happy to participate in a small way this year.

I got to go pass out free GoGo squeeZ with a few other north Texas bloggers:

We all had a great time giving away free GoGo squeeZ and watching all of the people gather for music, food, fun and fireworks!

If you’ve never been, think about making plans for next year – it’s free to attend and there were giant bounce houses, face painting, food trucks, pony rides, a train, petting zoo, concert and fireworks to top off the night!  I had never been, but had a great time!

As I watched the fireworks and listened to the band singing patriotic songs in the background it just made me think of the sacrifices our troops make so we can be free.  Not just the troops but their families  As I sit enjoying this great time with family and friends and neighbors, I don’t have to worry about bombs, or rioting, or things that other people in other countries have to fear everyday.  I am so blessed to have been born here and want to say thank you to the troops and their families for all of their sacrifices, so that my family can be free!
