I am so thankful Walmart has a price matching policy; it helps me stretch the $$ my husband earns and allows me to stay with our kids. That being said, however, I am wondering if you ever frequent the smaller stores from which you comp prices. Surely Kroger will survive without buying the Country Crock from them, but will El Rancho continue to be able to offer great prices (for you to match at Walmart) if you never frequent it? Just a thought I’ve been wrestling with. I try to support our smaller local markets when I can, just to help provide them with business.

You make a good point but in my case, those local stores I price match like El Rancho cater to a demographic that doesn’t include me. You really need to be a fluent Spanish speaker to be able to shop there.
