Homemade Cookie Cake!Homemade Cookie Cake!

T is back with another one of her great recipes!  Today she is sharing her recipe for a Homemade Cookie Cake!

From being good to being bad! Yesterday was my daughter’s birthday and she did not want a birthday cake. Instead, she asked if I would make her cookie bars. I was over the top excited but for being so nice and letting me make something simple, I thought I would give her a treat. I made her a cookie cake minus the cake. To create this cake or any cake, you need cookie dough, a knife, and a printed or drawn image. Here are a few images to help entice you to watch. Press your cookie dough into the cookie sheet.
Bake the cookie dough for at least 15 minutes or until done on 350 degrees. Draw or print and cut out the image you want to have on your cookie. I used the bottom of the cookie as the front of my cake but it you want to use the top, make sure you reverse the image. My daughter’s nickname is Shakey so that is why the cake will say Shakey in the end.
When the cookie bars are done, let them cool completely. This will take a long time.
You can start carving on this side of the cookie bar but I chose to flip my cake over and start carving.
When you are done, you have a cool giant cookie that you can decorate. You can add icing to define the letters more but my daughter didn’t want any icing. I am glad she didn’t want icing. I think icing is just too much sweet for anyone. I made a few flower pots so they could put ice cream in them and a few flowers just for decoration.
