Walmart Shopping Brag

I just got back from my final Walmart trip of the week and got lot’s of great stuff to share.  (I’m really thankful also because with just one coupon flyer last week I really didn’t think there would be much to talk about!)  Let’s take a look!

First, I picked up 6 bottles of V8 V-Fusion juice.  This deal was a little complicated and caused some headaches for me and the cashier so if you do it, make sure you do it right.  I used 4 $1.50/1 coupons from SS 6/26 and two BOGO :fr: coupons.(the :fr: item is for the Juice+Tea)  The problem I ran into is for some reason the register didn’t want to take the :fr: coupon and the girl at the register was absolutely adamant that she wasn’t going to honor them.  After two supervisors and a trip to the Customer Service desk it finally got straightened out.  Each of the bottles is $2.98 but after the four $1.50/1 coupons and the 2 BOGO :fr: coupon I got all 6 for $5.98 or about $1.00 each.

Next, (and far less complicated) I got 9 3pks of Ivory Soap.  They are $.97 each but after the $.50/1 coupon from P&G 7/3 they were just $.47 each or $4.23 for all.

Next I got 9 Trial packs of Cascade.  They are $.97 each but after the $1.00/1 coupon in P&G 7/3 they are :fr: with a $.03 overage.  (Careful with this one as there is a 4 coupon limit so if you want more you need to have someone else with you or a forgiving cashier.)

Next up, I got 6 Oral-B Essentials Floss.  These are $1.08 each but after the $.75/1 coupon from P&G 7/3 they are just $.33 each for a total of $1.98 for all 6.

Finally I picked up a pack of Bic Comfort 3 Razors.  Normally $2.96 but after the $3.00/1 coupon from SS 6/5 they are :fr: with a $.04 overage!

Altogether I got $44.78 worth of groceries for just $11.88 after coupons for a savings of $32.90 or 73%!

How did you do?

    Great job!

I have one question. Did the coupon for the razor beep? My coupon says: $3 off 1 Bic Flex4 Razor 3-pack, Bic Flex3 Razor 4 pack, Bic Comfort 3 Advance Razor 4 pack or Bic Hybrid Advance Razor. You bought a Bic Comfort 3 Razor 4 pack, but not ADVANCE Razor, right?

Nori » No, it did not beep. In fact, while I didn’t read the coupon close enough to see that (You have 50 coupons in a transaction, sometimes things slip through) that coupon is barcoded for any Bic razor so it wouldn’t beep for a bunch of razors not on the list. It is also a reminder that while we should definitely read the coupon, legally it is the barcode that determines what the coupon can be used for not the text or the pictures.
