DIY Team Spirit Earrings!

DIY Team Spirit Earrings

T is back with another DIY project!  This time she is making DIY Team Spirit Earrings!

This morning I awoke to the pitter patter of rain drops. It was beautiful. I have been complaining my butt off about the lack of rain in my life.

I am so happy my garden is getting a sip of the good stuff. Hearing the rain made me think about a reality I had not realized yet, it’s almost time for homecoming, but, these are good for any sport or any time of year!

As you know, I am a football mom. I was a cheerleading mom until volleyball started to compete with homecoming time so now I am a Mum Mom.

Don’t worry, I am not doing a mum today. I want to warn you first. Consider this your warning, next week I will be making a small homecoming mum. It will be the same size as my son’s garter mums. I say small but ya’ll know I’m from Texas, right?

Anyhoooooo, today we are making something super simple. My cheerleaders have retired but they have that team spirit and so does mama. I dress the part.

Our team colors are black and green and I wear my colors head to toe. Today, I am showing you how simple it is to make a cool little gift for the cheerleaders, coaches, and team moms in your life.

You will need:

  • 2 earring hooks
  • 2 cow bells
  • puffy balls, stickers, or bows
  • a hot glue gun
  • pliers

For this set of earrings, I chose to use tiny bows. I am going to make a variety. The first step is really simple.

Hot glue your bow or fuzzy ball to the top of your cowbells. Make sure not to completely cover the hole because you will need that for the second step.

Use your tiny pliers to open the bottom loop on the earring hooks. Hook the open loop to the circle on the cowbells.

Use the pliers to close the loop and you are done.

Now you are done. I like to add puppy paw stickers to the front of mine but our team is the Bulldogs so that makes sense.

Feel free to add the stickers that represent your team!
