I hope you are all able to be with friends and family during this time of the year.
My Mother is visiting and our children and grands will be here today and we will have a meal and open gifts and enjoy each others company!
One of our family traditions is after all the gifts have been opened, my husband reads the Christmas story found in Luke chapter 2 of the Bible. After he reads it and prays, we bring out a coffee cake with a candle and sing Happy Birthday to Jesus, blow out the candle, and enjoy the cake.
It is a simple but good reminder for us of the reason our family celebrates Christmas.
I hope that you remember to make memories and traditions that you and your children can look back on and possibly carry into their own families as they grow up.
