My Trip To Pollo Tropical!

Have you ever been to Pollo Tropical? Hubby and I had the chance to try one this past week and I was really surprised!

When we pulled up, the outside looked really fun and inviting, but, I thought “ok, but, it’s fast food, so we’ll see.” Not that fast food is a bad thing, I do eat it, but, some newer fast food places I have tried have just not been to my liking.

The menu looked great – we had a hard time deciding what to try, but luckily you can combine meats so that you can try a few different kinds.

I was completely surprised at how good the food was. One thing I often complain about with fast food is that there are no veggies, but they had veggies and they were awesome!

I opted for comfort foods, I am not much of an experiementer when it comes to food, So, I got mashed potatoes and green beans with my Calypso beef and pickled onions. Everything was seasoned very well and tasted great!
Hubby definitely likes to try new things, so he got the trio and tried all of the meats, and he got boiled Yucca, Balsalmic Tomatoes, and Carribean Corn Souffle! I enjoyed all of his sides, too! I don’t order things I haven’t tried but, I try them from Hubby’s plate and then I know! lol

I was also very impressed with their catering menu. The prices look very reasonable for any event, from a family gathering to a larger event! This is definitely a place I would consider for catering a get together!

Overall we were very pleased with our experience there and will definitely return often!
