I told you that I recently attended the Ford Trends 2014 conference in Detroit. While I was there I did a lot of walking through their plants and facilities. After the first day I had begun to develop terrible blisters on the bottoms of both feet from my wedges.
How To Prevent Blisters
When I got back to the hotel I realized I had about 1 1/2 hours before I had to put those same wedges back on for dinner and evening events because they were all I brought except for a pair of tennis shoes.
I KNEW there was no way I was going to make it through the rest of this conference in those shoes if I didn’t figure something out! I had to take them off the minute I hit my floor in the hotel and walk barefoot to my room. I was in a mess.
I found someone online who said the blisters came about because my foot wasn’t sliding properly in the shoes and if I applied stick deodorant to my feet they would slide properly.
So, I had a sample sized stick deodorant with me and I rubbed it all over the areas that were bothering me, and then I placed it in my purse in case I needed it later in the evening. It worked!
My feet didn’t hurt anymore – at all. I was able to wear those shoes that evening and walked all through the facilities the next day with no more issues at all! Needless to say I now carry a trial sized stick deodorant in my purse at all times.
Remember this tip next time you start to get a blister.
