Ok, I have been corrected about a misconception I’ve had about Rayovac Batteries. When a Rayovac battery coupon comes out, it’s always for the Alkaline batteries and I usually put a pic of the Rayovac batteries in the yellow packaging. Rayovac and several GSFFatTheMart readers have brought to my attention that the yellow packs aren’t alkaline, they are zinc and the alkaline battery coupons shouldn’t be used on them. Now, in my defense, I worked at RadioShack for many years and know more about batteries than most people and I have NEVER heard of Zinc batteries. I just assumed that all non-rechargeable batteries were alkaline but I have been wrong before and I’m sure I’ll be wrong again. So from here on out, whenever a Rayovac battery coupon comes out, expect the matchup to be for the more expensive alkaline packs.
