Well, we are snow and ice covered today!
Cowboy Stadium is covered in snow! – Don’t laugh in TEXAS that IS covered! There are a lot of activities that have been planned for the Super Bowl this week, not sure what’s gonna happen there!
I am sure that the people visiting from Pittsburgh and Green Bay are wondering why we are all off the streets and huddling indoors!
The highway at 10 this morning had NO cars on it!
The picture above was taken of a major highway near the stadium this morning. If you look closely in the background you can see the stadium.
It’s days like today I am so glad I stockpile. People ask me why I need more than 1 of anything – look out the window – that’s why!
I just wish I had more firewood! While others are wrestling over the last loaf of bread, or gallon of milk at the store – I, too, WILL have to brave the cold, ice and snow! I will have to open the backdoor and go into my freezer to get that extra loaf of bread or gallon of milk, if I need it, from my stockpile!
That’s one reason I do this! How about you? Did you have to brave the people and weather or are you stocked up?

Wow! Enjoy it! You’ll be longing for it come July, August and Sept. 🙂

I’m a beginning stockpiler but there is no worries about the fact that I’m stuck in my house for the next 3 days either (in STL). I still haven’t frozen milk or bread yet. For some reason I’m afraid to try that. But I won’t starve without it.

@Carli: Good for you! It’s a nice feeling to not have to worry about running out! You should try freezing stuff it is great, I buy butter maybe about 2 – 3 times a year! I freeze it and it lasts until I need it!
Keep warm!
Thanks!
