Walmart’s Layaway Policy!

in Most Recent on 11/08/12

In light of the Walmart Black Friday ad being released earlier today, I wanted to remind you of their Layaway policy this year.

Layaway is available between Sept 16th and December 14th and includes a broad selection of items including; small home appliances, select sporting goods such as basketball goals, trampolines and large exercise equipment, electronics, toys and jewelry.

There is an initial fee of $15 to start layaway but it will be refunded via a Walmart Giftcard when you complete your Layaway.

Here are a few other things you need to know.

Process, Pricing and Savings

  • A down payment of 10 percent or $10, whichever is greater, is required and is applied to the purchase.
  • Individual items must be priced $15 or more, and the total layaway purchase must be at least $50.
  • If the order is cancelled or not paid in full, the open fee is not refunded; however, no additional cancellation fee will be charged.
