What to Buy at Walmart in January!

There is a lot going on in January that makes for some great deals.  It’s National Oatmeal and Soup month, we’ve got Christmas clearance and deals on things to help you with your New Year’s Resolutions.  Let’s see take a look at the full list.

Groceries

Soup and Oatmeal– It’s National Soup Month and National Oatmeal Month so look for Campbell’s, Progresso, and Quaker to have awesome coupons and for there to be really good price matching opportunities.

Health/Diet Foods – This is the month we all resolve to lose a little weight so look for coupons for Atkins, South Beach, and Weight Watchers products.

Super Bowl Snacks – Of course, any headway we make on our weight will be wiped out on Super Bowl Sunday so look for deals on soft drinks, chips, Velveeta, Hormel, Hillshire Farm and more

In Season Produce – This month is all about citrus so be prepared to get great deals on Grapefruit, Clementines, Lemons, Oranges, Passion Fruit, and Tangerines as well as Kiwi, Pears, Brussels Sprouts, Cauliflower, Carrots, Celery, Kale, Parsnips, Spinach, Turnips, Chard, Collards, Avocado, Cabbage, and Spinach.  Don’t forget all the great apps that will get you discounts on produce.

Non Grocery

Cold/Flu – They know it’s Cold and Flu season so look for deals on items like Robitussin and Dimetapp.  You should also find deals on Vitamins.

Christmas Clearance – Walmart will have Christmas stuff on sale for as much as 90% off so stock up and squirrel it all away until next year.

Hard Goods

Kitchen and Bed/Bath Linens – This will be the month for White Sales especially.

Furniture – Most retailers will put furniture on sale in January but Walmart isn’t particularly known for this.  Just keep an eye out here if you are in the market to redecorate a bit.

Fitness Equipment – This is the month we all grab some weights and and a DVD and resolve to get that body we’ve always wanted.  Look here for the latest deals.

Winter Clothing – You should be able to find great deals both in-store and online.

Gift Cards – Everyone got giftcards for Christmas and a lot of those ended up on resellers, a list of which you can find here.  This is the month to grab a few deals and either use them yourself or give them away to your friends and family next Christmas.
