I came upon a tip that worked for me to alleviate my blister pain and thought I would share it with y’all.
I shared with you how I attended the Ford Trends 2014 Conference recently in Detroit.
How To Alleviate Blister Pain
Well, while I was there touring all of their plants and facilities, I ended up with blisters on the bottom of both of my feet and with an entire day and a half left of my time there.
I was really worried as I only had these shoes that were causing the issue and a pair of tennis shoes that didn’t really fit the “Business Casual” suggestion we were given.
When we returned to the hotel the minute I stepped out of the elevator on my floor I removed my shoes – I couldn’t walk another minute in them! I only had one and a half hours before dinner and evening events and I had no idea how I could do it with my feet in such pain.
I decided to get online and see what I could find. I saw that someone said to soak my feet in green tea to make them feel better.
I looked at the coffee service in my room and there was 1 decaffeinated herb tea bag… I thought about brewing it, but then I would have to walk down the hall and try and find ice to cool it down and time was of the essence!
So, I wet the tea bag with cold water from the bathroom sink, and grabbed an extra Ziploc baggie I brought for my liquids for my carry on for the plane (I brought an extra in case 1 got messed up).
I placed the tea bag in the plastic baggie and sat down and put the baggie on one foot and pressed the tea bag between my foot and the floor in the spot that hurt the worst. I did that for half an hour and then switched to the other foot.
They were not in any pain anymore after that. Not the next day or when I got home, totally fine! So, remember this tip the next time you start getting a blister.
Oh, and I found a way to wear those shoes for the rest of the time with no problems, too. You can read about How To Prevent Blisters, to find out how!
