At Home Room Makeover Awesome Finds & Great Deals
Recently At Home sent me a $50 gift card to do a room refresh or holiday makeover. I was excited, but, then again this is not my forte’. I spend most of my time at my desk in my office with all of my gadgets. So, decorating has never been a thing I felt I have been good at, however, my daughter is AWESOME at that!
I have told y’all about how she finds furniture and restores/refurbishes it and resells it, like my living room couch. I remember when she first brought that in my house I was shocked at how filthy it was and wanted it gone immediately. But, once she finished cleaning it and stuffing it, it looked great:

The most creative I think I have gotten, design-wise, lately is when I ran out of room for all my coffee cups (I LOVE coffee cups) I did this:
Yep, those are Command Hooks… I just mentioned how I love coffee cups, especially uniquely shaped ones, I got this one At Home recently, it’s too cute:
Ok, Ok on to the room refresh!
I told my daughter what we needed to do and she took over! YAY! lol She decided my front room needed a makeover and I couldn’t agree more (it needed one the day we set it up this way). This is the room where we put the Christmas tree and open presents on Christmas morning:
It’s quite bare, but, I like things simple. However, what she did made it so much more warm and it even feels bigger! I can’t wait to host Christmas this year:
We’ll start by saying she spent a little more than the $50, she also found a 10% off coupon, and she bought things that were clearanced:
She spent $65 (if you subtract the Trolli candy for the 5 year old hehe).
She bought a shower curtain that was on sale and cut it in two and hemmed it for the curtain! I told you she was a crafty one!
All of the pillows and the shams on the loveseat were in a clearance bin for $9.99!
The throw on the couch was 50% off making it just $7.49. Side note: When she first brought that couch in it had scratches and she painted it. It looks awesome now!
The rug came in as the most expensive item and it was $29.99.
She added a table that was in another room, a lamp, and the loveseat.
The shams on the loveseat are kingsize, she has them stuffed with cushions and folded under.
I am totally thrilled and can’t believe what a difference this made and for so little!
