The Dollar Tree Cleaning Products That Beat Big Brands

in Dollar Tree, Instagram on 05/19/25

If you’ve ever stood in the cleaning aisle at Dollar Tree and thought, “Are these even worth it?”—you’re not alone. I’ve been burned before by cleaners that barely smelled clean, let alone did anything.

A group of Dollar Tree cleaning products, including The Works, Palmolive, Spic and Span, Fabuloso, and LA’s Totally Awesome, displayed on a beige background.

The Dollar Tree Cleaning Products That Beat Big Brands

But after more than a few hits and misses, I’ve figured out which Dollar Tree cleaning products actually hold their own. And yes—some of them are better than the expensive name brands.

Also, if you haven’t already seen the breakdown of What to Buy at Dollar Tree, that post gives you the big picture. This one zooms in on the cleaning aisle—the stuff that’s really worth grabbing.

🧽 The Cleaners That Actually Work

  • LA’s Totally Awesome Cleaner – People love this for a reason. It cuts through grease and grime like magic. You can use it in the kitchen, on baseboards, and even the trash cans.
  • The Works Toilet Bowl Cleaner – Fast, effective, and no scrubbing your arm off. It does the job quickly, especially for stubborn rings.
  • Spic & Span Everyday Antibacterial Spray – Light scent and works great for counters and bathroom surfaces. It’s not overpowering but gets the job done.

All of these are $1.25 wins—and they honestly outperform some of the pricey stuff.

🧴 Dish Soaps That Don’t Just Make Bubbles

  • Palmolive and Ajax – Yep, the real deal. The bottles are smaller, but the price per ounce still beats most store sales.
  • LA’s Totally Awesome Dish Detergent – Not super sudsy, but it powers through grease and lasts longer than you’d think.

For hand-wash-only dishes or those in-between loads, these are totally solid options.

🪣 Floor + Surface Staples

  • Pine Glo and Fabuloso – These smell amazing and work well on tile and vinyl. I’ve used both for floors and to wipe down cabinets.
  • Glass Cleaner Spray – It’s usually ammonia-free and streak-free, which is great for mirrors and windows.

If you’ve been buying overpriced “luxury” cleaners—try these first. You might not go back.

A variety of Dollar Tree cleaning products—including Ajax dish soaps, glass cleaner spray, Pine-Sol, Brillo Basics scrub pads, and a multi-purpose sponge—lined up on a wood surface with a neutral beige background.

🧼 Cheap Tools That Don’t Disappoint

  • Spray bottles – Great for DIY cleaners, ironing, or even misting plants.
  • Scrub brushes, sponge mops, and gloves – Not built for years of use, but they absolutely work in a pinch. And at this price, you can replace them without guilt.
