Orlando
When you’re talking about the Best Family Vacation Spots, how can you not mention Walt Disney World?! Orlando is the world’s number one family-friendly destination and amusement park.
Disney World is one of the main attractions of the city. Disney world is not only a great family trip to spend quality time with the entire family. It’s also a perfect spring break destination.
But, if you head to Orlando on a long weekend trip, be sure to check out the other attractions because Disney is just one of the offerings there.
Having grown up in Florida and being a short drive away from Disney, I’ve spent a lot of time at this popular destination – I would say anytime other than summer is the best time to go.
It can be very hot and exhausting. If you do choose to go in warm weather in the summer months, be sure to do your research and plan some indoor attractions between the outdoor attractions so you can catch a little A/C between standing out in long lines for rides.
Nearby resorts, hotels, and inns often have great deals and budget-friendly accommodations, too, so check those out. Also, most of the resorts offer free shuttle service to the parks.
But, if you don’t want to stress yourself out traveling to and from Disney, you can book accommodations in one of the Disney resorts for your next family vacation. Monorail, bus, and boat transportation are free so, you don’t need to fight for a great place to park or trek to the parks under the scorching sun.
Virgin Islands
Just two hours from Miami, the Virgin Islands offer an authentic experience of the Caribbean without the need and the hassle of traveling several hours.
The Virgin Islands have three distinct islands: St. Croix, St. Thomas, and St. John. Each of these islands offer white sandy beaches, duty-free shops, colonial forts and towns, popular attractions, beautiful scenery, and snorkeling spots.

Denver
Denver is more than just Rocky Mountain High. Before heading to the mountains, you can enjoy the green space and sunshine that the city offers.

There’s even a trails on historical sites such as the Oak Canyon, Mission Trails. The hike begins at the Mission Dam, constructed by Franciscan friars during the Spanish colonial period.
Portland
Known for its natural beauty, Portland offers sustainability and outdoor activities which makes it a favorite option for family holiday or vacation on a budget.
It’s a great destination for people who want to enjoy biking around the city or exploring different places. There are multiple vintage spots and food trucks and high-end restaurants that carry a variety of food from different countries.
Catch The Cherry Blossoms
Every spring, the nation’s capital is surrounded by blooming cherry blossom trees. Forget about a family travel to Japan or South Korea just to experience having a picnic under these majestic trees.
The National Cherry Blossom Festival takes place between mid March until mid April.
The cherry blossom trees grow in three different National Park Service locations: In East Potomac Park, the Tidal Basin in West Potomac Park, and the Washington Monument grounds. There are also different events which include the Opening Ceremony, the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, and the Blossom Kite Festival.

Of course, we have to mention Yellowstone national park. Within Yellowstone’s 2.2 million acres, visitors have unparalleled opportunities to observe wildlife in an intact ecosystem, explore geothermal areas that contain about half the world’s active geysers, and view geologic wonders like the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River. If you want to learn more about your history, going to Yellowstone is a great way to do that.
North Carolina/Tennessee
Take a road trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park this year. This is America’s most visited national park.
The Rocky Mountain National Park has a diversity of plant and animal life, the beauty of its ancient mountains, and the quality of its remnants of Southern Appalachian mountain culture. Making this the perfect family trip to teach the younger kids about history and wild life.
Montana
There’s so much to do in Glacier National Park, from pristine forests, alpine meadows, rugged mountains to spectacular lakes. There are even over 700 miles of trails giving you and your family plenty of places to explore.
