Today we’re talking about Spring Break essentials. Spring break is the time for you to take a break, get some rest, and release all that tension and unwanted stress.

You know the feeling when you’ve been waiting for this: You’re counting the days until you can take a break from school or work and spend time with the kids and explore beach waves while sipping on a margarita or strawberry daiquiri with your family members and friends.

Don't forget to pack all your Spring Break essentials before heading to the beach.
The most awaited break with your family!

For A Memorable And Stress-Free Travel: Spring Break Packing List

But before you hit the beach, you need to do be prepared!

Packing for an adventure can be a daunting task especially making sure you packed all your beach vacation essentials.

Even if you think you have it all down, it is inevitable that you’ll forget something and have to go the whole trip without the forgotten items.

Most warm weather vacation clothes are small and don’t take up too much space, but, there are still a lot of option to consider, especially if you are planning your OOTDs which can easily lead to over-packing!

Whether you’re planning ahead for your trip or you’re trying to get things together before you hit the plane, we prepared a spring break must-have list (that you can also use for your ultimate beach vacation packing list) for you so you don’t have to be worried that you forgot something and have to pay an exorbitant extra cost to purchase it at the hotel.

Let’s talk about budget-friendly spring break ideas for a memorable vacation without overspending.

Spring Break Ideas That Don't Break The Bank (2)

Must-Have Items For Spring Break

Swimsuit

Create a comprehensive Spring Break packing list to ensure you have everything you need for your trip.
Make sure you have all the Spring Break vacation essentials to enjoy your time off to the fullest.

A bathing suit is one of the top must-have Spring Break vacation essentials for a beach getaway. Take a sleek, one-piece swimsuit that works not only in water, but, also a good look as part of an outfit.

You can wear it solo while on the beach or you can pair it with shorts, skirts or baggy jeans as a bodysuit during the evening or when going on day trips.

Shirts

Shirts are necessary for any spring break destinations. If you are traveling with your family or friends, make sure you get matching tanks!

You can use these tops as an easy way to keep track of everyone in your group. They are also a cute excuse to spice up your photos.

Best Spring Break Gadgets

Chargers

Check out our list of the best Spring Break gadgets to enhance your beach experience.
Don’t forget the charger, you want to be able to capture all the memories

Spending the whole day on the beach, going out at night, or exploring different places will drain your battery. Imagine you are about to take a photo and your phone says nope, low battery – no pictures for you!

So don’t forget to bring your chargers for your smartphone, camera, and other mobile devices!

Don’t forget to bring your portable charger, too! Your phone might need to be charged when there’s no outlets available.

A portable charger is a lifesaver! It’s one of the most important must-haves on this list. Bring a light and portable power bank with at least 10,000mAh power to fully charge your device. Who knows, your friend might need to use it too!

Portable Speakers

Listen to all your favorite music without any trouble with a speaker

Listening to music while lying on the beach is relaxing. However, blasting the music from your phone can easily drain its battery.

Bring a portable speaker with you. Since most portable speakers are Bluetooth-enabled, it gives you and your friends the capability to switch from one playlist to another.

Before you go on a trip, make a spring break playlist. Ask your group members what music they want to add some variety.

Top Spring Break Accessories

Ponytail Holders

Something that can easily be brought — but, often forgotten — are ponytail holders.

Whether you prefer scrunchies or the basic thin ones, you must have them on hand – literally – I wear one on my wrist at all times! You can use it to tie your hair up while swimming and also use it to tie your tank top if it’s too loose!

Travel-Size Toiletries

Travel toiletries
Bring all your favorite skincare and haircare without the hassle

Most hotels have toiletries that you can use in your room. But, if you’re traveling in groups, before you know it, there’s no more shampoo or conditioner after one night!

But, you don’t need to spend unnecessary amounts of money because most stores around the vacation spot will sell it to you for top dollar!

Save yourself money and bring your own travel-size toiletries from home. You can either buy them or you can buy travel-size containers and fill them with your favorite essentials.

Waterproof Pouch

Whenever you go to the beach, you should always make sure to bring a waterproof pouch.

This way, you can carry your personal items such as your phone, your room key, credit cards, and cash with you even when you hit the beach.

6 Pack Universal Waterproof Phone Pouch

A waterproof pouch is one of my favorite beach accessories because the last thing you want on your beach holiday is getting your cell phone wet.

Sunscreen

Sunscreen in the form of a heart on someone's skin
You can’t forget the sunscreen without it you’ll likely burn

Whenever you’re spending time outdoors you should cover yourself in sunscreen. Not only are you protecting your skin, you’re also limiting the chances of getting cancer.

SPF15 helps block out 93% of UVB rays, but, if you are more sensitive, you can opt to use something higher.

Don’t forget to reapply sun protection every two hours!

Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe plant
Always have aloe on hand, you never know if you’ll get a burn

While hitting the beach, you’re most likely to get sunburned. Even if you are applying sunscreen, you must come prepared for the aftermath by bringing a bottle of Aloe Vera Gel, just in case – if not for you, then someone you’re traveling with may end up needing it!

Keeping your skin hydrated is a must. After taking a dip, make sure to apply a layer of After Sun Gel to save your skin.

Snorkel Masks

If snorkeling is one of your favorite water activities, bring a snorkel mask with you.

Although some places offer snorkel masks for a fee, they can be quite expensive. Bringing your own can save you some money!

Beach Towel

Don’t forget the beach towel, whether it’s to dry off after a dip, lay on to catch some rays, or sit on for a picnic, you’ll need this for sure as it will be needed many times.

Underwater Camera

Capture all the underwater beauty with an underwater camera

For people who love snorkeling, diving, or taking photos, an underwater camera is a must.

Many people use a GoPro camera that takes 4K photos even underwater. If you’re on a budget, you can also buy cheaper ones. You’ll be surprised at how great your photos turn out! Imagine taking selfies underwater while swimming!

Travel Pillow

How many times have you tried sleeping on the plane or in the car and you wake up with a stiff neck? It’s the worst!

Bring a travel pillow with you. This will support your head from the back and the side. Using a travel pillow can also prevent your head from constantly falling forward.

MLVOC Memory Foam Travel Pillow

Beach Bag

Have your hands free by bringing a bag

You may not want to bring a massive beach bag. Bringing a huge one can also cause you to over-pack!

Get a crossbody bag that’s hands-free, but, it’s also big enough to fit all the essential items.

Reusable Water Bottle

There’s a golden rule while on the beach: Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate.

Instead of buying a ton of bottles of water, which can be expensive, its a good idea to bring a reusable water bottle with you. Before you leave your hotel, don’t forget to refill it for free!

Hat

Hats do not only complete your OOTDs — they’re multipurpose!

A sun hat can protect your face from the sun, and solve any beach hair sightings, too.

Water Shoes

Using water shoes will totally change your life!

Can you remember, as a kid, slipping while diving or snorkeling? Although you can use ordinary shoes when swimming, using water shoes make it easier, they have a great grip and they aren’t 10 lbs blocks on your feet once they get wet making them a great option.

Sandals

Sandals in the sand.
There’s no better shoes to wear to the beach than sandals

You can use the hotel slippers, but, they may not go well once you walk in the sand.

Solve this problem by bringing your sandals with you. If you’re afraid that your favorite pair might get lost, you can purchase fashionable ones just for the trip.
