Chef Tim Love Plays Stump The Chef With Local Bloggers
Last week Hubby and I got to attend a fun event hosted by Thomas and Chef Tim Love owner and executive chef of several restaurants in Fort Worth.
He hosted a small gathering of local bloggers and we got to play “Stump The Chef”, where he had a huge assortment of ingredients and we picked 4-5 and he had to come up with a dish using Thomas products!
He shared a few great tidbits. One is that you aren’t supposed to open an English Muffin by slicing it, because the slice makes it flat like bread. You’re supposed to open it with your fingers or a fork so that it is jagged and the jagged edges make it more crunchy when you pop it into the toaster!
He also said, to make a great meal you need three things: Salt, Fat, and Acid. With those three things you can make a good recipe great! He said you can go to a steak house that serves steak and mashed potatoes and it’s a good steak house, but, if they add lemon on the top of steak at the end it makes it a great steak house!
He suggested playing “Stump The Chef” at home with the kids, he said they are more likely to eat something they had a hand in creating. He said he plays with his kids all the time!
