I needed to pick up a new phone because I wore out my old one so I headed up to Walmart to get a new Walmart Family Mobile phone from T-Mobile. I saw that they have a new Walmart Family Mobile Plus Plan that is $49.88/mo and includes Unlimited Talk, Text & Data with 10GB 4G LTE and a free movie rental every month from Vudu.
I picked up a pamphlet to review my options but it looked like the $49.88 plan was going to be best for me. Besides, I love movies and the fact that I can watch a new one every month for no extra charge (a $7 value) is pretty cool.
One movie I rented this month was Angry Birds so I was pretty excited about that. My grandson watched this movie when it came out and I had to listen to a dramatic re-enactment of the movie from a 5 year old. The joys of Grandparenthood. I figured this way I could tell him I loved his description so much I had to see it.
I opted for the Coolpad Catalyst at $59.88 but there were several phones to choose from including the HTC Desire 530 for $129.00, the Samsung Galaxy On5 for $119.00, and the LG Stylo 2 Plus at $199.00. Once you buy your phone you will also need to get a Starter Kit if you are not already using Walmart Family Mobile for your phone service. Those starter kits are normally $25 but are on Rollback right now for $19.88, and because you will be billed later for the $49.88 monthly bill, the cost of the phone and starter kit is all you pay to get started!
Once I got my phone home I fired up the Vudu app and got my free movie, Angry Birds! To make a night of it, I decided to dye some popcorn the colors of the Angry Birds for a little snack while watching it.

I love the fact that a free movie every month means that now Dian and I can snuggle up together and watch something new every month. Don’t think you have to watch your movie on your phone either, I am able to use my Chromecast to stream the movie directly to my TV and you can use any streaming service like Roku or your Smart TV. That extra large bucket of data I get every month means I can also watch my Texas Rangers baseball games on my phone when I’m out and not have to worry about running out of data
