Can I Get A Refund On An Online Purchase?
Yes, you can get a refund even if your purchase was online. The same policy apples – the item needs to be returned with in the 60 day return window, and the refund will be issued in-store or by mail.

Items purchased at JCP.com are eligible for a return with a receipt within 60 days of the original purchase date. Refunds will be issued on the original form of payment or JCPenney Gift Card. Online Returns by Mail: Simply log in to your account and select the order with the item(s) you want to return. Click the “Start a Return” button and follow the prompts. If you do not have a JCPenney account, click this link to view your order and start a return. There is return fee that will be subtracted from your refund amount. Credits can take up to 4 weeks based on shipping and processing time.

When Do You Receive a Refund on a Return?
It can definitely be annoying that we have to pay at time of purchase but to get our money back where they took it from can take an extended period of time, or is it just me?… lol
If you made a purchase from JCP with a store credit card you can expect refunds to a JCPenney Credit Card typically take 3- 4 days to post to your account from the day they receive the items back.
If you made your purchase with a bank card or debit card you’ll need to contact your financial institution for information about refunds to a third party credit card. Typically, though, it takes 7-10 days to post to your account from the day the day they receive the items back.
What Happens To My Rewards Points If I Return An Item?
If you return and item – you lose the points you got from the purchase.

Sephora products have return policies that differ from JCP stores as Sephora is an actual store within a store.

Complete the “returns or exchange” form on the invoice and return it with the item. Customers are responsible for the return postage.
What If I Don’t Have A Receipt?
Some items may still be accepted for return even if you don’t have a receipt. However you won’t receive cash back on those items.
Returns without a receipt may be eligible for a JCPenney Merchandise Return Voucher at the item’s lowest selling price within the last 45 days. Some Exclusions Apply.
Valid photo identification is required for all non-receipted returns or exchanges. Information from the ID will be retained in a secured company-wide database to monitor the number of un-receipted returns. JCPenney accepts the following IDs for returns: U.S., Puerto Rican, Canadian and Mexican Driver’s License; U.S. State IDs; Puerto Rican IDs; Canadian Province IDs; U.S. Military IDs; U.S. Laser Visa; Passports; Matrícula Consular Card; Puerto Rican Voter Identification Card, and Mexican Voter Registration Card. For purchases and returns made in the states of CT and MA: Customers must return any purchase within 60 days of the purchase date to receive a refund of the sales tax. Returns made after 60 days of the purchase date will receive the refund of the purchase price excluding the sales tax.
