We, my family and I, had the opportunity to visit Taste Of Dallas yesterday, as guests of The Sweet Factory!

Taste of Dallas 2012

I have never been to one of these “Taste Of..” events, but, I was pleasantly surprised!

We started off in The Sweet Factory area – there was a TON of good sweets to be had!

Just for pint-sized foodies, Kids’ Taste Town is an interactive food-themed experience for children of all ages. With more than 70,000 sq. ft., every kid will relish in the wall-to-wall fun of carnival rides, demonstrations, games and activities that can only be found at Taste of Dallas. But that’s not all is the not-to-be-missed The Sweet Factory – a place to eat, taste and experience tasty treats and perhaps learn a little something too!

But it’s not just about the food! Come for the:

  • Spectacular midway rides & Fun Zone
  • Interactive Petting Zoo & Live Animal Shows
  • Meet & Greets with your favorite characters
  • Hands on activities, arts & crafts, games
    and family safety exhibits
  • Kid’s Cooking Demonstrations with chefs!
  • Watermelon Eating Contest
  • and MUCH, MUCH MORE for the entire family!

There were tons of games the kids could play and there was an area set up for rescue pets, which were all very cute!

As well as a FREE petting zoo!  They had an adorable baby pig:

Then we headed outside to see what food there was Smile  Most all of the food was $1 – $3 each for a sample, some were large and some were smaller.

I had a great time collecting FREE samples of products and coupons!

Ave’ enjoyed the face painting and her Pad Thai!  That was a big portion for $3!
