People who are always in a hurry or having a difficult time getting to the store can benefit from online shopping.

After all, who wants to waste time traveling to the grocery store, walking the aisles choosing their items, then standing in long lines to pay, loading your purchases in the car and then out again at home, right?

Walmart now allows online orders thru their app or website.

This is why many people are turning to home deliveries for their grocery needs! I know I sure do!

And one of the most prominent options when it comes to online shopping is Walmart.

Ever wonder what the benefit is to picking up groceries at Walmart?

Walmart Grocery Pickup The Pros and Cons

How Walmart Online Shopping and Delivery Works

With Walmart’s grocery service, you can place online orders from the Walmart app or website. You can also reserve a no-contact in-store pickup or delivery schedule for contact pick-up.

Walmart doesn’t charge any mark-ups or hidden fees for these services. They offer the same prices as in-store shopping for their grocery pickup or delivery.

Here’s a step-by-step guide for you to start ordering with Walmart.

Ordering From The App

To shop using the Walmart grocery app:

  1. Sign in to the Walmart Grocery app or create an account with the Get Started button
  2. Add your personal information: Your email address and password
  3. Tap Sign In
  4. After signing in, at the top of the app, you’ll need to select Pickup From and choose the local store from the grocery stores list. If it is available, you can select a delivery date and time.
  5. Use Search to find the items that you need to be picked up or delivered.
  6. For every item you want to buy, tap Add+ and it will be added to your list. Use – or + to change the quantity
  7. Once you’re ready to check out, select Check Out
  8. Choose or add the payment method you want to use

Using The Website

To place Your grocery orders using the website:

  1. When placing your orders from the Walmart website, the process ordering from the app is the same!
  2. Sign in to the website using your Walmart account or create an account with the Get Started button
  3. Add your email address and password
  4. Tap Sign In
  5. After signing in, at the top of the app, you’ll need to select Pickup From and choose the local store from the grocery stores list. If it is available, you can select a delivery time and date.
  6. Use Search to find the items that you need to be picked or delivered.
  7. For every item that you want to buy, tap Add+ and it will be added to your list. Use – or + to change the quantity
  8. Once you’re ready to check out, select Check Out
  9. Choose or add the payment method or credit card you want to use

That’s it! Your order will be scheduled or ready for pick up.

How Much Does It Cost To Have Your Orders Delivered?

It depends!

  • If you’re a Walmart Plus member, you don’t pay for any delivery if you spend $35+. If you spend less than the order minimum, the minimum fee for the Walmart delivery is $5.99.
  • For non-Walmart Plus members, you can pay for the delivery fees between $7.95 or $9.95
  • If you want Walmart same-day delivery or same-day pickup, Express delivery is $10 on top of the existing delivery charge for non-members while for Walmart Plus members, you just need to pay $10 Express fee.

How Can You Get FREE Delivery?

You can sign up for a Walmart Plus (or Walmart+) subscription plan, especially if you’re using the delivery service regularly.

With this service from the retail giant, you can get free next-day, two-day or standard shipping with no additional fees or minimum order.

You can also try the service for free for 30 days then the monthly membership will cost you $12.95 or $98 a year, plus applicable taxes.

Can Other People Use It?

Although you can save multiple delivery addresses with your account, you can only share it with family members in the same household.

Shopping online is the easiest way to shop for groceries, in my opinion. It can be very convenient, especially if you want to save money, time, and effort.

With just a few clicks from your computer or phone, you can have any household supplies, kitchen appliances, household essentials, fresh fruit, vegetables, and food items, anything on your shopping list, delivered to your door step or you can also schedule your pickup orders!

Have you tried Walmart grocery delivery or other food delivery services from Whole Foods and Amazon Prime or Amazon Fresh?

Walmart always wanted to be a one stop shop and now they're also a one order and done kinda place. Ordering your groceries for pickup or deliver from Walmart is fast and easy. Click through NOW to learn all about it...
