Looking for some easy meal ideas with all the great price matches and coupons available this week? Let me help! You can find all my price match lists here.
This first one can be price matched if you live near an Albertson’s Market store.
Chicken Tacos
Boneless Chicken Breasts are $1.97lb at Walmart but can be price matched to $1.68lb if you are near an Albertson’s Market.
Pace Picante sauce 16oz is normally $1.98 at Walmart but can be price matched to $1.89 at Albertson’s Market. Use the $.50/2 printable coupon for Pace Products to save a little more.
Put the chicken in a crock pot with the Picante sauce and let it simmer all day. Shred with a fork, serve on tortillas your favorite extras. (I’m a fan of Shredded lettuce, cheese, and sour cream)
Thanks to Reader Kasey Lloyd Beaty for the Recipe
Chicken Stirfry
Another standby for us with chicken breast is stirfry. Grab the $.50/2 printable coupon for Swanson Chicken Broth and make sure you have some handy.
Cut up the chicken along with onions, bell peppers and tomatoes. (We’ll also use Hunt’s canned tomatoes instead of fresh) Throw it all in a skillet and saute until the chicken is done.
We will usually steam broccoli and carrots and serve that on the side but you can but those in the stirfry also. Just keep in mind that with the carrots, you will either need to slice them very thin or cook them in the broth before everything else to get them tender.
Boneless Pork Ribs
If you are near a Safeway affiliate store (and there are many, here’s a list) you can get Boneless Pork Sirloin Ribs for $2.49lb, these are normally $3.99lb at Walmart.
If you have a grill that’s easy to use then that is definitely the way to go but if not, you can very easily cook them in the oven. If you have a broiling pan with a reservoir, fill the reservoir with water, cover the ribs on the pan and put them in the oven at about 325 degrees for around 2 hours and season to taste with either spices or sauce. (or both)
One other option is to cut the ribs up in chunks, saute in beef broth and serve over a baked potato with your favorite veggies on the side.
Hope that helps you plan your meals this week! What are you cooking? Let me know in the comments and I may feature your favorite recipe in a future post.
