Just say it fast, you get it. Walmart sends her $50 in coupons as a thank you, so she changes her own name to Darla Walmart-Hart. Stay classy, Kentucky. Here’s the one caveat, every single article I found to try to confirm the story references the original story on Stuppid.com which just screams “FAKE” so I’m not 100% sure that this actually happened. Man Tackles, Chokes Armed Walmart Shopper – Black man puts his licensed and registered handgun in his holster, under his coat and walks into Walmart to shop. So far, this story plays out exactly as it does hundreds of times a day in my home state of Texas. (We are all armed. No, seriously. All of us.) Then things take a turn. A white man sees the black man with his gun (licensed, registered, in a holster, under a jacket) and tackles him to the ground and puts him in a choke hold while screaming “He’s got a gun”. All of this while the poor attackee is screaming “I’ve got a permit” to no avail. Wow.
