My daughter has been telling me about this simple dish she makes, and I finally decided to try it. It is a recipe that her mother-in-law’s family makes, and it takes about 15 minutes to prepare but cooks for 3 hours.
I had to take a dish to someone and decided to give it a try. First, I made this Campbell’s meatballs recipe for my husband and me to ensure we liked it….and we did.
This homemade meatball recipe would be an easy dish for anyone to make! Even the picky eaters will love this easy meatball recipe.

Potato and Meatball Casserole Recipe Ingredients
- 2 lbs lean ground meat beef such as ground turkey (if you rather have turkey meatballs)
- 6 medium size or large potatoes or 3 large baking potatoes
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1 can of Campbell’s Tomato Soup Family Size
- 1/2 soup can of water
- Garlic Powder
- Southwest Seasoning (I used Pampered Chef Southwest Seasoning) optional
- Salt and Pepper
–Sprinkle the meat with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then combine ground beef with spices with your hands.
–Form meatballs from the meat mixture by making them into 1-inch tender meatballs
–Layer the raw meatballs. The homemade meatballs are in a single layer of the deep lasagna sheet pan.
–Dice the potatoes into bite size smaller pieces and chop the onions.
–On top of the flavorful meatball mixture, first layer the chopped onions and then the cubed potatoes.
–Sprinkle the potatoes with salt, black pepper, southwest seasoning, and garlic powder generously.
–Pour the Campbell Tomato Soup over the moist meatballs and potatoes, and then pour 1/2 can of water on top of that.

–Bake in the center of the oven at a high temperature of 350 degrees for 3 hours.

Potatoes With Meatballs
Super easy and delicious recipe that is sure to please anyone.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 6 medium size potatoes or 3 large baking potatoes
- 1/2 onion, chopped
- 1 family size Campbell’s Tomato Soup
- 1/2 soup can of water
- Garlic Powder

Instructions
