Five Steps to Making a Well-Planned Grocery List

Following these 5 steps when you’re making a grocery list is all you need to do. With a little planning, you’ll get maximum results!

1. Choose Your Method

You’ll need a scratch pad, notebook, or journal type book. You might think a journal is going too far, but if it helps you keep track of what you bought in the past and even maybe the price you paid before for an item, it can be helpful to look back on prior lists in making new ones. Keeping a journal or notebook, also keeps things more organized than using the back of an envelope or a paper plate don’t ask… lol

You can also use your phone to do this. Using whatever method you choose, you might want to list your budget, pantry staples, and the food items you intend to buy.

2. Get Your Meal Plan

If you’re on a healthy diet and strictly follow your meal plan, you can use your meal plan to make your list! Get your meal plan and list the food items you need. If you don’t have one, then this is your sign to start meal planning. With a weekly meal planner, grocery shopping becomes so much easier!

3. Note Your Priorities

If you don’t have a meal plan, it’s a good idea to list your priority grocery items first. This way, you can buy all the necessary items and avoid impulse purchases.

4. Include Your Additional Lists

After the priority items, you can add any additions. This doesn’t need to be healthy or essential food. You can add the pantry items you need to prepare snacks or desserts.

    Thank you for the offer for the Shopping lists but I don’t use Facebook. I had it at one time but I will never go back to it because I had so much problems with them when someone hacked my area and they would not believe it wasn’t me. I lost friends because of it and I will not use it again
