We love to shop at Walmart with their everyday low prices, and they have made it so easy that there’s almost no reason to shop at different stores or anywhere else with those super cheap prices and grocery costs!
Here are a few of our favorite reasons we love Walmart and how you can save and even make a lot of money at Walmart! You’ll be a frequent Walmart shopper, saver, and money maker in no time.
How To Save Money On Groceries At Walmart
Overage
Walmart gives you overage back at the cash register when you find a great deal at the best prices and match it with a coupon offer. You can use manufacturer coupons, a store coupon, Walmart coupons, mobile Walmart coupons, or printable Walmart coupons.
If Walmart has an item such as toilet paper on sale or original sale price for, say $0.75, and you want to use coupons for $1 off that same item, Walmart will give you the item for free PLUS pay you $0.25 to walk out of the store with it, too!
If getting free food and household items and never paying full price again doesn’t sound great for your grocery budget and bank account, I don’t know what will.

Don’t forget to use My Favorite 13 Money Saving Apps to get even more money back after the deal on your grocery bill! Often there will be 2 or 3 rebate apps offers (two of my favorite grocery apps are the ibotta app and fetch rewards) that have a deal for the same product or eligible sale items.
After you save money from the sale, coupon, and rebate apps, you can sometimes make even a few dollars on your great deals!
Finding the right expense management tool can make budgeting much easier.
Check Unit Price
Before you make any bulk purchases grocery shopping at Walmart or any store, check the unit price, which is how much it costs by the ounce, it will say on the price tag. It’s best to do this for large quantities buys to see if purchasing items such as paper products in bulk is actually cheaper because the last thing you want is to end up paying higher prices.
Clearance
Remember to check the clearance aisles after specific seasons or any holiday season for the best deals and lowest prices. Clearance items are where the best discounts and cheaper prices are.
You can often get Valentine’s, Easter, and Christmas items for up to 90% off just a few days after the holiday! Look out for end caps. Sometimes they put a clearance section there. Just watch for the yellow tag.
Stock Up
Also, check with your meat department, most local Walmart stores mark their meat down in the morning, and that is a great time to get a good deal and stock up on food items at the meat counter. This is one of the best ways to save so much money on your grocery purchases.
Price Matching
Walmart also price matches on the Walmart groceries online website, the Walmart app, and Jet.com in your local store, so before you make in store purchases, check the online prices to make sure you’re getting the best price and bang for your buck for the identical item. Walmart grocery store’s price match guarantee is an easy way to get a better deal.
Grocery Pick Up
Walmart local grocery store pickup is a great way to get Walmart’s rock-bottom prices and food costs without doing all the work or getting distracted by impulse buys.
You can get everything from fresh produce to beauty products, even video games, so pretty much anything on your shopping list with the help of Walmart grocery pick up.

You also get $10 0ff your first purchase of $50 or more, with Walmart grocery pickup, and there is a minimum order of $35. Another great thing is if you want the lower item’s price of a store brand item and they are out of the said item, you get the same great value for a different item, often a larger, more expensive name brands items.
