9 Old Navy Shopping Hacks

in Instagram, Most Recent, Old Navy, Store Savings Guides on 11/19/20

Old Navy has been in operation since 1994.  It has since transformed itself from an iconic American brand into a global one.

Part of the reason behind its success is its wallet-friendly prices and quality clothing.  In 2016, the brand tied with Victoria’s Secret for the second most popular store in the U.S.

9 Shopping Hacks For Old Navy

But while Old Navy is already a budget-friendly clothing brand, you can still save even more money when shopping there.  Here are some of our shopping hacks for Old Navy:

Shop The Sales

One important thing you have to know about Old Navy is that you should always make it a point to buy only when there’s a sale.  Even if you might need an item, it really pays to be patient.

And the good news about this is that Old Navy frequently has sales.  So always make it a point to wait until an item goes on sale before you pull the trigger.  This way, you don’t miss out on savings.

Coupon Codes

Another thing you have to know about shopping at Old Navy is that they encourage shoppers to use online coupon codes.

You’ll often be able to find coupon codes with 30-40% discount for your online purchases almost every week.  Meanwhile, they generally only offer this type of discount in-store once a month.

Sign Up To The Old Navy Rewards Program

Old Navy has an awesome loyalty program called Navyist Rewards.

And the best part? It’s FREE to join.

Plus, you’ll earn 2 points for every dollar you spend in-store or online across all Old Navy and Gap brands.

Joining the Navyist Rewards is simple. Once you have clicked the link above and signed up all you need to do is just enter your phone number in-store at checkout. When you’re shopping online, make sure to use the email address associated with your account while shopping to earn points.

Once you reach 500 points, you’ll get an email alerting you of your $5 reward you can spend at any of their stores.

Also, signing up for the Navyist Rewards will automatically enroll you in other reward programs for Gap, Athlete, and Banana Republic.

Price Adjustment

Not a lot of people know that Old Navy actually offers adjustments to its customers.  If an item you purchased goes on sale within 14 days after you bought it, you can head back to the store and ask for a price adjustment.

Old Navy will adjust the price and return the difference to you.  You just need to remember to hold on to your receipt so you can get the price adjusted.

This policy only applies to full priced items. If you purchased an item on sale, it wouldn’t qualify for the price adjustment.

Best Time To Shop

Knowing the best time to visit Old Navy is crucial in saving the most money.  Typically Old Navy adds items to their clearance on a Sunday, Monday, or even Tuesday.

Be sure to ask store employees what day is the best to shop your store when it comes to snatching up the best clearance deals. The employees are happy to share the info with you.

Free Shipping

Old Navy gives you free shipping when your order is $50 or more. However, you can do better.

If you’re shopping in store and they don’t have what you want or need, you can order it in store and have it delivered free – if the order is over $25.

This is a great way to get a particular item in your size or desired color, if it isn’t available in store.

Just tell an Old Navy associate what you need and they’ll take care of the rest.

Black Friday

If you’re looking for the best time to visit the store, it would definitely be during their Black Friday sale.  You can snag some really awesome deals during this sale and even get up to 80% off in the clearance section.

And if you’re someone who hates big crowds, you can opt to visit their website on Cyber Monday where you can find some of the best online coupons the store offers all year.

Price Tags

A lot of stores give you clues for saving more with their price tags and Old Navy is one of them.

When you’re shopping at Old Navy, remember to check the price tag.  The items to keep an eye out for are the ones with prices ending in a 7 or a 9 as these are the most discounted items.

These tell you a lot about where the item is in the sale to clearance cycle.  If you spot an item with a price ending in these numbers, that usually means it will be discontinued and it is already the best price for the item.

But keep in mind that the price tags ending in $0.47 are generally at their final price markdown.
